Who is behind this, and why it exists.
JaldiGO is a ride service built for Kharian and the villages around it. It started from a simple observation: the only way to get across this area without your own transport is a rickshaw that will not leave until it is full, and will not take you closer than the stop it always uses.
Everything else follows from that. The ride is yours, so it leaves when you do. The pickup and the drop-off are actual addresses, so you are not walking the last stretch with your shopping. The fare is worked out from the distance and shown to you before anyone sets off, so there is nothing to argue about at the end.
We are a small operation, run from Kharian, and we would rather say what we do not have than imply we have it. We do not offer driver insurance yet. We do not print our rates on this website, because they are set in the app and the app is what charges you. We started with bikes and are adding rickshaws, cars and family vans as drivers join.
Drivers are people from here. Every one of them has their CNIC, driving licence and vehicle registration checked by a person before they carry a single passenger. There is no automatic sign-up, and there is no way to get on the platform by filling in a form and waiting.
The name was never about one vehicle. Delivery is the next thing we are building, from a parcel across town to goods for your home, with the same drivers and the same coverage.
