Online rides in Punjab: book a bike, car or ChingChi from your phone
Booking rides · Published · 2 min read
Punjab has more towns than any other province, and most of them were never served by a ride app. JaldiGO started in Kharian, in Gujrat district, to change that, and it holds a ride-hailing licence to operate in Punjab.
Why ride apps matter outside Lahore
In a big city, a ride app is one choice among many. In a town like Kharian, Lalamusa or Dinga, it can be the only way to get door to door without your own transport. The usual alternative is a shared rickshaw that leaves when it is full and stops where it always stops, which is rarely your gate.
That is the gap JaldiGO fills: book from home, see the price, and get dropped at the address you asked for.
Licensed to operate in Punjab
Ride-hailing in Punjab is regulated under Section 44B of the Motor Vehicles Ordinance 1965. JaldiGO holds a ride-hailing licence from the Regional Transport Authority. If you want the detail, read is ride-hailing legal in Punjab?.
Where in Punjab you can ride
JaldiGO works anywhere in Pakistan, including every district of Punjab. Its busiest stretch today is along the GT Road and the roads off it: Kharian, Gujrat, Lalamusa, Jhelum, Sarai Alamgir and Dinga, with Bhimber just across the boundary in Azad Kashmir.
Drivers in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Nankana and other cities are signing up in the app too. The more drivers join in a city, the faster rides there are matched.
What a ride costs
Every fare is worked out from the road distance and shown before you book, rounded to the nearest ten rupees. We do not print rates on this website because they are set in the app and can change; the app always shows the real number before you confirm. A bike is usually the cheapest option for one person, and a ChingChi or a family van is the best value when several people travel together. See bike vs ChingChi vs car.
