Safe rides for families, elders and children

Safety · Published · 2 min read

When the people travelling are your parents, your children or the whole family, safety comes before everything else. Here is how to choose and book a ride with that in mind.

Choose a vehicle that suits everyone

With elders or small children, choose an Economy car, a Comfort car or a family van rather than a bike. A family van seats seven with AC, so nobody is left behind and nobody has to squeeze in. For a short trip with a few people, a ChingChi is covered and roomy.

Know who is coming

Every JaldiGO driver is checked by a person before their first ride: CNIC, licence, vehicle registration and a clear photo of their face. That photo is shown in the app when your driver accepts, so whoever is waiting at the gate knows exactly who to expect.

Book for someone else

If a family member is not comfortable with an app, book the ride from your own phone with their address as the pickup, and tell them the driver's name and vehicle. The fare is fixed before booking, so there is nothing for them to negotiate, and they pay the driver in cash.

Safety features on every ride

More in ride safety tips.

  • The trip is recorded from pickup to drop-off.
  • An SOS button shares live location with JaldiGO at once.
  • Ratings both ways keep drivers and passengers accountable.
