Ride safety tips for passengers in Pakistan
Safety · Published · 2 min read
Most rides are uneventful, and a few simple habits keep them that way. Here is what to do on any ride, and what JaldiGO does in the background.
Before you get in
- Check that the driver's face matches the photo in the app.
- Check the vehicle type matches what you booked.
- Make sure the destination in the app is right before the ride starts.
- Tell someone at home where you are going and roughly when you will arrive.
During the ride
- On a bike, wear a helmet if you have one and hold the grab rail.
- Keep your phone charged; your trip is visible in the app as it runs.
- If anything feels wrong, use the SOS button in the app.
What JaldiGO does
Drivers are verified before they start. A person checks every driver's CNIC, driving licence and vehicle registration, and a photo of their face. There is no automatic sign-up.
Every trip is recorded from pickup to drop-off, with live location while it is running.
SOS: one tap shares your live location with us straight away.
Ratings both ways: you rate your driver and your driver rates you. People who behave badly do not last.
We are also honest about what we do not offer yet: there is no driver insurance at the moment.
In an emergency
Call Police 15 or Rescue 1122 first, then use the SOS button so we have your location too.
