Fixed fare, no bargaining: why the price you see is the price you pay

Booking rides · Published · 2 min read

Haggling over a fare at the end of a ride is one of the most tiring parts of travel in Pakistan. JaldiGO removes it completely: the price is set before you book and does not move.

How the fare is worked out

Each vehicle type has a base fare and a rate per kilometre. JaldiGO measures the real road distance of your trip, not a straight line on the map, applies the rate for the vehicle you choose, and rounds the result to the nearest ten rupees so there is no loose change to argue over.

We do not print the rates on this website. They are set in the app and can be adjusted, so anything published here could fall out of date. The app always shows the real fare before you confirm.

Locked when you book

Once a fare is shown to you, that is the fare. Traffic, a road closure or a slower route do not change it. You and your driver both see the same number in the app, so there is nothing to discuss at the end. Say kiraya fix hai and point at the screen.

Why this is fair to drivers too

Drivers see the fare before they accept the trip, so they only take rides that suit them. They do not have to negotiate with every passenger, and they are never accused of overcharging. Most drivers say this is the thing they like most.

What about cancelling?

You can cancel before your driver reaches you at no charge. Once the ride has started, it runs to the fare you agreed.

Common questions

Can a JaldiGO driver ask for more money?
No. The fare in the app is the fare. If a driver asks for more, tell us on WhatsApp.
Why is the fare rounded?
To the nearest ten rupees, so that paying in cash never needs loose change.
