How to book your first ride on JaldiGO, step by step

If you have never used a ride app before, this is everything you need. It takes about a minute once the app is installed.
1. Install JaldiGO
JaldiGO is free on Google Play for Android phones. Search JaldiGO in the Play Store, or use the download button on this page. Sign in with your Google account; there is no long form to fill.
2. Set your pickup
The app starts from where you are. To change it, type the name of a place the way you would say it, such as a school, a hospital, a chowk or your village, in English or Roman Urdu. Or move the map and drop the pin on your exact gate.
3. Set where you are going
Do the same for your destination. You can pick from the list of places or drop a pin.
4. Choose a vehicle and see the fare
Every vehicle type running near you appears with its own fixed fare: bike, ChingChi, car, Comfort or family van. Pick the one you want. The fare shown is the fare you pay. Not sure which? Read which ride should you book.
5. Confirm and meet your driver
Tap to request. Every free driver nearby gets your request at once, and the first to accept heads to you. You will see their photo and their position on the map as they come. When they arrive, check the person matches the photo, get in, and go.
6. Pay and rate
At your destination, hand the fare to your driver in cash. Then rate the ride. Drivers rate passengers too, which keeps everyone polite.
Common questions
- Is there an iPhone app?
- Not yet. JaldiGO is on Android first; iPhone comes later.
- What if no driver accepts?
- The app widens the search on its own, and if another vehicle type has a free driver nearby it offers you that option at its own fixed fare.
